Nelson’s Grant was born from a vision to bring "New Urbanism" to the heart of Yorktown. Named in honor of the storied legacy of the Nelson family—whose 18th-century home still stands as a cornerstone of our town’s history—our community was designed to bridge the gap between historic charm and contemporary living.

The development broke ground in 2009 with a simple goal: to create a walkable, vibrant neighborhood where residents could enjoy the ease of a suburban setting with the convenience of "main street" shopping and dining right outside their doors.

Our Identity: The Condominium Association

While we share this beautiful 14-acre landscape with our neighbors in the townhomes, the Nelson’s Grant Condominium Association stands as a distinct, independently governed community. We take pride in managing the "jewel of the development"—our mid-rise residences that offer secured elevator access, single-level living, and loft-style architecture.

Our Association focuses exclusively on the preservation of our buildings (1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, and 12) and the shared elements that make condo life effortless.

Today, the Board of Directors—led by neighbors like you—is committed to a "Preservation-First" philosophy. We don't just maintain; we protect.

  • Financial Health: With a robust reserve fund and a commitment to the Interactive Reserve Management approach, we ensure that Nelson’s Grant COA remains a stable and secure investment. By staying strictly aligned with our 30-year Reserve Study, we proactively fund major projects today to protect our owners' property values for decades to come.

  • Proactive Maintenance: From our "Soft Wash" exterior program to our meticulous stormwater management, we utilize a data-driven 30-year reserve study to stay ahead of the curve.
